Jon Bly

Jon graduated in 1975 from Brandon Valley High School.

Jon accumulated ten varsity letters as a three-sport athlete, earning four each in football and track and field and two in wrestling.

As a halfback on the football team, he was a three-year starter, two-time All-State selection, and an All-American selection.  He co-captained the 1974 team to an undefeated season.

A standout jumper on the track and field team, Jon set school records in the long, triple, and high jumps.  He won the long and triple jumps and was voted the outstanding athlete at the state meet his senior season.

On the wrestling mat, Jon wrestled on the varsity team for two years and placed fifth in his senior season.

Jon went on to play football at S.D.S.U. where he was a four-year letterman and three-year starter at halfback.
